New Years Resolutions

I'm not one to make new years resolutions, but this year I will make an exception.

For this blog

1. Make more blog posts
2. Finish New Zealand Trip posts. (boy I really lost the plot there...)
3. see #1

Personal

1. Eat less, exercise more, loose some weight.
2. Take public transport to work at least once a week
3. Get out more looking at things and taking photos (helps with #1 in both lists)

That should about do it, don't want to overdo it.. Will review this latter in the year.

Notepad Issues

I've slowly been typing up posts from my trip before I forget them. I've just been using notepad, but something really annoying has started to happen tonight. I've just done the last 3 only I lost the last one, when I went to save it, pressing ctrl s Notepad disappeared without a trace. This also happened to the second last one but I re-wrote it, actually it happened to that one twice. I've now given up for the night and the last one can wait for another day.

With any luck I should get some photos sorted and the first one or two posted this weekend. For me this blogging is a slow business. I routinely take over an hour to put together a single post. These trip report ones take me much longer for some reason.

Hi,

I've been away from my blog a bit lately. Don't know why, I just have. Well I did just return from a weekend trip to Perth yesterday which was cool. There's a fresh post in the oven about that. I just need to sift and stir the photos into the mix. Number one highlight was eating at Sizzler, oh and visiting a place called Little Creatures in Fremantle.

Still being on Perth time I slept right through my alarm this morning and didn't wake until nearly 10am. I didn't go to work today, and I don't care. The joys of being a contractor. I think I'll start looking for a new job soon anyway.

So today I spent the day playing around in iTunes and printing Super Mario stickers. Tonight I've drinking Strongbow Cider while I've been ripping the last of my CD's into iTunes, a bit of a flashback, being the 1998 and 1999 Tripple J Hottest 100 compilations. The current song I'm listening to is Intergalactic by the Beastie Boys. Here is the video:

I just wrote two posts they make no sense at all. Saved as drafts and filed away forever. hopefully I'll come up something meaningful this month.

Plenty of ideas

Ok, so I have plenty of blog ideas, but when it comes to actually getting them on the screen I seem to forget them.

Why not start with what I've been up to in the last few weeks?

Too late, weekend stuff and a red hot moon.

I really need to go to bed earlier. I need to go to bed now. This morning I slept in until 7, when idealy I should be going out the door at this time. At least it's starting to get lighter in the morning now. The spring weather we've been having the last few days has been great. I like temperatures in the high teens, low twenties are better, but you've got to build up to it, otherwise it actually feels hot, especially at this time of year. Some more rain would be nice.

I've got a few pent up postings in the pipeline too, mostly about what I did on the weekend. This included geocaching, football, steam trains and waterfalls. I might get around to it next weekend. Maybe I should take my laptop on the train and do it there.

As for last night all I can say is that blood red moons are creepy (when there is no cloud in the way that is). I remember the last total lunar eclipse like it was yesterday. I couldn't believe it was all the way back in 2000. Seeing the moon this colour reminded me of the song Red Hot Moon by Rancid, not the song itself, just the title. (I would embed but I cant be bothered)

So today as I went past my old seconday school, I thought to myself "There's the old educational establishment". Straight after I thought this I came to wonder where I got such a phrase from. I quickly remembered that it is a term that Anne Marie frequently uses in her blog.
